|PARIS Nike Epic React Flyknit Black Womens Sale , Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- The first RMB-denominated climate bond issued by a Chinese bank was listed Tuesday on the Euronext stock exchange here.
The bond had been successfully issued on Nov. 15 in three trenches, namely 700 million euros, 500 million U.S. dollars, and one billion Chinese yuan, by the Bank of China (BOC) Paris branch, while the order book had been oversubscribed more than 2.6 times, said Pan Nuo, head of BOC Paris branch.
The proceeds are mainly for green projects of wind power stations etc., Pan said.
The listing of this bond on Euronext "has a special meaning" as it comes close to the second anniversary of the Paris Agreement and French President Emmanuel Macron's upcoming visit to China, Chinese Ambassador to France Zhai Jun said at the listing ceremony.
Zhai added that he was convinced that in the sector of sustainable development and finance, there was huge potential for China and France to strengthen cooperation. (1 euro = 1.19 U.S. dollars)
Whether it's because of championship envy, obnoxious fans, or some combination thereof, Americans have a long history of hating successful sports teams.
Duke basketball. Notre Dame football. The New York Yankees.
The Yankees seem to be especially hated these days because of the -impending retirement of shortstop Derek Jeter. The longtime team -captain and face of the franchise has enjoyed a sentimental farewell tour this season, receiving gifts and -adulation at ballparks across the country.
Jeter has many critics. Some claim his defense is sub-par; five Gold Gloves would seem to suggest otherwise.
Others feel that his offensive production this season (.255.303.311) hasn't justified his No.2 batting spot. Never mind the fact that the daily lineup card is filled out by manager Joe Girardi, not Jeter.
The one criticism that seems borderline legitimate - that Jeter is overrated because he plays in the largest US media market - is also the main reason he deserves fans' respect.
New York is without a doubt the toughest American city in which to play professional sports. A glut of media outlets allows New Yorkers to devour their young, then brag about how they do so better than people anywhere else.
Jeter has not only survived New York's cutthroat mentality for 20 years; he has thrived in spite of it.
The fact that he has dated a bevy of beautiful women (Jessica Biel, Vanessa Minnillo, Minka Kelly) -undoubtedly adds fuel to his critics' jealous fire.
To be honest, it shouldn't. Jeter has never been accused of domestic abuse (a current problem in the NFL), nor has he fathered children with multiple women (a longtime problem in the NBA).
Last, Jeter has never been associated with steroid use, unlike his jackass teammate Alex Rodriguez, who is currently serving a season-long -suspension for that very reason.
Feel free to hate the New York -Yankees if you'd like - they win a lot and their fans can gloat with the best of them. But tip your cap to Jeter when his career ends next week. He's done plenty of things to earn your -respect, and very few to deserve other-wise.

DAMASCUS, March 4 (Xinhua) -- After unwillingly abandoning their favorite weekend rendezvous of fear of blind mortars, Damascus youngsters were quick to revive their old habits, to hang out at the Bab Touma district, following the recently-established truce.
Enjoying its old narrow allies, with restaurants punctuating its ancient corners, the young people in Damascus thronged Bab Touma after a ceasefire was established in Syria last week.
Before the crisis, the Christian-dominated neighborhood was an attraction to Damascenes from all over the city, especially on Fridays, the official weekend in Syria, during which all of the markets and stores close, except for Bab Touma.
During the crisis, Bab Touma, large parts of which are entwined with the old city of Damascus, was a target to the blind mortar shelling from the rebels in the eastern Damascus, which scared off the young men, who used to hangout along with their girl friends in that district.
""True that the truce is still shaky, but I couldn't resist coming here and enjoy my time once again. I have lots of memories here, each crack on these walls has hundreds of stories,"" Nairmin, a 24-year-old university student, told Xinhua.
Sitting in a cafe, and blowing smoke rings while puffing her cigaret, the economic student said ""it's been a long while since I enjoyed staying up late here.""
